Tips for Purchasing Genuine Autographed Memorabilia on eBay.

by Mark Turgeon

eBay is the largest online auction house and offers thousands of autographs for sale each day. How do we know if these autographs are genuine on eBay?

First, we need to research the seller and find out a little about them through their ?About Me? page, if they have one.

Second, look at the seller?s feedback and see how their ratings reflect their experience in dealing with selling autographs.

III. View the seller’s current auctions to see what they have available. Check out the prices of the items and the amount of items they have of each celebrity or famous person. If the item is priced very cheaply especially for a huge name in the industry, then most likely it is fake.

Another approach to look for in a seller is to see if their listings are private. If the seller is listing their item or items as private, they have something to hide and in this case its Fake autographs.

5. Find a dealer that is honest and has nothing to hide like private listings. Also an honest dealer has great feedback with complete openness of honesty within his auctions, about me page, feedback and prices of items.

VI. Always do research on the particular autograph you are tending to purchase. Make sure you have an idea of what an authentic signature of that person looks like.

Follow the tips above and you will find that honest dealer and get that special authentic autograph you were looking for.
